This vehicle lived out it's former life as a fire-rescue ambulance for the San Ramon Valley Fire Dept. Ambulances are broken into four groups- Type I, Type II, Type III, & Medium Duty. This a Medium Duty class and referred to as an "MPV" or Multiple Patient Vehicle, because it was a fire rescue vehicle it has a heavier duty suspension and extra ground clearance. The area it served is not a high fire prone area, hence the extremely low miles and hours it incurred.
I am an experienced wood worker and builder of cars and motorcycles. A high degree of love, care, time, research and money was put into this build. The front cab was stripped and cleaned, sound deadener was added, new door panels and new air-ride seats were installed, bluetooth stereo, backup camera system, and custom center console were added too. New all-terrain tires were installed all around (very smooth and quiet), front and rear alignment and chassis lube was done summer of 2022 as well as new rear air springs and shocks. Nothing leaks, starts up fast, drives excellent- even gets an average of 12 mpg!
With the exception of some of the original ambulance cabinets, the rear "house" or box was taken down to the studs, Foamular R-10 insulation with thermal barrier was installed before building the custom interior including new wiring and plumbing. The water storage and filtration system was built to be able to drop a hose (in an emergency) into any water source anywhere, and fill the tank with ultra-filtered drinkable water. The solar/battery storage configuration has allowed me camp off grid for five days with almost zero battery depletion even when it's partly overcast.
The original factory build sheet, parts list and the complete original wiring diagram is included.
I never intended to sell this amazing rig but medical issues have forced me to let it go, asking $50K.
